The following link is one of the most important ones ever. I have been on a soap box for 30 years to combat this practice of the PUPPY MILL. Almost everyone (with very rare exceptions) selling puppies, that cannot produce the parents on premises…. will not show you where they keep their dogs……does not show their dogs in competition……claims to be a broker…..sell on the internet and will ship you a puppy…..is running or aiding the proliferation of a mill.
The saddest thing, in my experience, is that when these places are raided, the humans running the place seem baffled by the outrage. Dogs are livestock…. dogs have no emotions….. are what they tell the authorities!
Ignorance can be cured with education. Mills can be brought to a screeching halt in one dog’s generation if people did their homework when buying a dog. Most people will spend more time contemplating a pair of shoes than they will the aquisition of an animal companion.
Get educated… ask questions… call me. I will spend hours talking to clients on many related topics. Just ask my clients…. they can’t shut me up!! We can stop this one dog at a time.
